The Hamburg Diving and Synchro Center is located in the middle of the city in the popular old quarter of Eimsbüttel. This long-established open public pool contains an existing diving and swimming complex and conveys a very special charm. The diving complex will be renovated to the newest standards for the 15th FINA World Championships 2013 and thereafter used as the diving centre for Hamburg’s Olympic training base. The stands for the Hamburg Diving Center will be erected temporarily. Similarly, the swimming complex will be renovated and deepened to three meters to host the synchronised swimming competitions. The stands will also be temporary and create a spectator capacity of 5,000 seats respectively.
